Engineering Experience
Engineering Overseas
This summer, I had an internship opportunity that not only deepened my engineering knowledge but also exposed me to a new culture. I spent my first couple weeks in an American office, engaging in orientation and developing skills for technical and personal success. Then, I moved halfway around the world and put my expertise to the test. In Kenya, I worked on Tenwek Hospital, a jaw-dropping cardiothoracic center in late-stage development. My job was to inspect and test the complex HVAC system, track contractor changes from original blueprints, and prepare safety training materials for local staff. I was brought to the site to share my knowledge of engineering and contribute meaningful work to a community with unique challenges, but it was engaging with local staff that made my experience the most valuable.

Capstone Project
Beginning Fall of 2024, I joined a team of five students to create an engineering project of our own design. From a list of approved options, we decided to build a suspension seat system for Jeep Wrangers and Ford Broncos. We spent much of the semester analyzing customer needs, developing conceptual designs, building CAD models, and running finite element analysis. Now, we are working in the machine shop to bring the project to fruition.
2021
Being the Design Chairman for my fraternity, I was tasked with constructing a massive DJ stand and four elevated surfaces. It was to be sturdy and large: 13 feet tall, 8 feet wide, and 5 feet deep. Pictured on the right is the stand and the surfaces on painting day.
Early the next year, I created a new bar. The top was finished with a thick layer of epoxy to seal the marbled purple top. Our letters were embossed using wood and the inside was lined with LED underglow.
